Youth Initiative for Human Rights MNE organized today the workshop "Standards and practice of medical reporting in cases of torture".
Professor Miodrag Šoć, judicial medicine expert, and Marijana Sinđić, councilor of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms were the speakers at the workshop. Participants were employees in closed institutions and students of medicine.
Lecturers indicated on standards of medical reporting and on failures in medical reporting in practice, for which is not possible to define adequate facts in proceedings before competent public institutions. Besides, at the workshop was communicated about the lack of rules and other gaps in work, which can lead to violation of rights in practice.
Workshop was organized in the frame of the project "Building free of torture and impunity societies in Western Balkan", supported by the European Union, which has been implementing in Montenegro, Albania, and Serbia.
